Interesting, I have no idea where they got $49,100 for Technical Support Specialist (nice word for TSR, just like if you are unemployed you are an independent consultant). When I was going through the TSR circuit about a year ago since I graduated high school I didn’t even come close to that number (more like 30 – 40% below). We either have too many TSR positions in the area or there is a general practice of paying the manager 2-3x the wage of a TSR (not that they deserve it). You’d wonder if the turn around on that position would lower if they actually got paid $49,100.

11 Dec 06 Seattle International airport removes all Christmas trees after a complaint

File this one under: Lighten the F up! There will be no more Christmas trees at Sea-Tac Airport this season after the Port of Seattle received at least one complaint about them. According to airport spokeswoman the two sides could not reach an agreement before the lawsuit was to be filed, so the trees were removed instead.
Great another “victory” for the minority. I’m all for respecting people’s beliefs but why is it that sometimes the smaller groups have to literally ruin it for the big groups. It’s not like the majority were dissing on the minority or “hating” as the modern youth would call it. I think thats where the line should be drawn. Oh well… its just another step toward everyone wearing the same clothes and eating the same food because it might offend someone. Could you imagine if vegetarians were to get meat banned? Might seem like an immature and stupid comparison but if you said 50 years ago that Christmas trees would be taken down because one individual opposed it, people would’ve thought you were stupid too.

We recently discovered that a small number – less than 1% – of the Video iPods available for purchase after September 12 left our contract manufacturer carrying the Windows RavMonE.exe virus. This known virus affects only Windows computers, and up to date anti-virus software which is included with most Windows computers should detect and remove it
My favorite line in Apple’s article:
“As you might imagine, we are upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses, and even more upset with ourselves for not catching it.”
Now was this a marketing trick or really an accident?

A man convicted of trying to rape an 83-year-old woman was sentenced to eight lashes with a cat-o’-nine-tails, a punishment used by the British Navy in the 18th century and reinstated in the Bahamas 15 years ago.
They should do this to anyone, in any country that forcibly has sexual intercourse with someone. No excuses. Whats funny/ironic is that the cat-o’-nine-tails is now often used in the kinky kind of intimacy, BDSM. Well at least thats what it says on Wikipedia, which works exactly like Stephen Colbert suggested on his show in August: “Anyone can alter the wikipedia. If one person alters a story in Wikipedia its vandalism, however if one other person agrees with the alteration, its truth”.
21 Aug 06 Stargate SG-1 Cancelled !!!
The future of Stargate is in question today, as SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running Stargate SG-1, Multichannel News reported today and a GateWorld source has confirmed. The news regrettably follows the airing of the show’s milestone two-hundredth episode on Friday.
Yeah umm…. what the hell? They just had their 200th episode this last Friday and then they pull the plug. Interesting to say the least since there are 400+ on the gateworld forums right now expressing their pissyness. I truly hate the Nielsen’s Ratings. Why? Because it relies on a very very very small percentage of the population and doesn’t factor in DVR records and what not? Why would it matter. Well lets see… Scifi is generally seen as something seen by the geeks & nerds… the same people that are always on top of technology. The same crowd that probably owns 1+ DVRs.

Need medicine to control your anxiety problem? Come to your neighborhood Walgreens. The friendly people there will lift your spirits with kind words like “CrAzY B****” and “psycho” stamped in your Prescription’s notes and posted in their national database. At least that’s how good Walgreens service has been in Florida lately…
Am I one of the only people that thinks she probably DESERVED being called a “CrAzY B****”. Having worked retail & fast food I can tell you first-hand experience that people are terrible. They are disrespectful, pushy, and unwilling to listen. Not to be too stereotypical but generally it are the women between the ages of 25 to (time of death) that are the bitchiest, with the worst batch being when they have kids living at home. They are just plainly mean. It is either their way or the highway and they aren’t too scared to let you know either.
So what that Walgreens is putting done, what sounds to me USEFUL, notes in their system. Interesting that it seems public facing, but really so what. It is helpful for other employees to know that they have a ticking time bomb in the store. Nothing is worse then when one of these rude ladies start making a scene with their jibber jabber. I can just picture the conversation now. I completely support Walgreens and I am probably going to shop their now.
What is really funny out of all this… this story SHOWS you how intolerable these women are. They finally get told by someone that they are rude and “CrAzY B****” and what do they do… call their fucking lawyer.
