about me

So who am I?
I’m Yvo. It is pronounced Evoo, believe it or not. The name is the male version of Yvonne and it is originally French.

When & where was I born?
I was born on February 11th, 1985 in the suburbs of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

How did I get here?
I moved to the United States in January 1990 to Tulsa, Oklahoma and back to Holland in June 1992. However in July of 1996 we moved to Seattle, Washington after the Dutch airplane maker, Fokker, declared bankruptcy. Boeing recruited some of the engineers and here I am today.

Anything else people should know?
Nothing much really. This is basically the place where I have more or less dumped my thoughts over the last 2 and a half years. However there have been many interruptions so its not fully complete. In my free time I love fixing computers. I’m a big Apple nut, but to a point where I can remain reasonable and help those that use Windows. I work full time as an Unix Systems Administrator employed by United Online.
